This week, CCR teams responded to a range of calls across Seattle including wellness checks, transportation assistance, shelter requests, and providing basic supplies. Here are just a few of the calls CCRs handled around the city.

Downtown
An individual approached CCRs requesting food and clothing. Responders provided snacks, water, and clothing items.
Haller Lake
CCRs were dispatched with SPD for an individual reported down on the ground. Responders and officers introduced themselves and assessed the person, who had several injuries. SPD requested Seattle Fire medics, and the individual received medical assistance. CCRs offered services, and the individual accepted warming supplies, food, bus tickets, and hygiene and harm-reduction supplies.
Pioneer Square
SPD requested CCRs for an older adult who appeared to be in crisis. Responders learned the individual had been unhoused for many years, was a veteran, and requested food and shelter options. CCRs suggested an assessment at Harborview Medical Center due to his vulnerability, and he agreed. Responders provided food and transported him to Harborview, assisted with check-in, and spoke with social work staff regarding a possible referral. After ensuring he was connected to staff, CCRs cleared.
Capitol Hill
SPD requested CCRs for an individual refusing to exit a rideshare after arriving at a closed shelter location. The individual requested a restroom, clothing, food, and shelter. Responders transported the person to the library to use the restroom, provided clothing and food, and made a referral for an evening shelter bed. CCRs also provided bus tickets before departing.
Columbia City
CCRs followed up with individuals from an earlier call involving a hotel referral. Responders connected the family with an organization that provided a two-night hotel stay. CCRs assisted with gas and helped jump their vehicle so they could reach the hotel, then confirmed they were checked in before clearing.
North Admiral
CCRs responded to a missing child call. Responders located the youth a few blocks from home, provided socks, and transported them to their residence. SPD reunited the youth with their family, and CCRs cleared.
South Lake Union
CCRs were requested to assist an individual at the Center for Wooden Boats who was trying to travel to Mason County. Responders provided warm clothing and explored transportation options. CCRs reached a contact in Shelton who agreed to assist her. Responders purchased a Greyhound ticket to Olympia, coordinated pickup, and transported the individual to the bus station before clearing.
Columbia City
CCRs assisted an older adult who needed help getting to the grocery store because he was out of food. The individual explained he had not yet cashed his check and could not pay for transportation. Responders transported him to the store, where he cashed his check and shopped. CCRs provided bus tickets in case he needed them for the return trip before clearing.
