Two of the perks of working as a CCR: getting to help people and meeting their cats!
CARE CCRs were dispatched to a welfare check near 105th and Northgate Way last Friday for a report of a person lying on the ground with their legs partially in the roadway.
SPD met CCRs at the scene where the individual was unable to remember their address or name of their apartment building. CCRs worked with police to find and confirm the location of their home, and whether they had keys to the building.
After working through all of that, the individual began discussing how they had a cat that helped them with management of a chronic health condition and expressed concern about being away from it.
CCRs transported them to their apartment and helped them get inside. As they arrived at their apartment, the individual introduced their cat to CCRs and thanked them for their help.
